Resident Building

With regard to the below question & response: Evidently this doesn't apply for students coded as Ward of State residents (9888) or District Court Placed residents (9889) as only 3 options pop up to select from - 0000 District Court Placed, 8050 Head Start and 8000 Home Intervention. I assume the 0000 is the correct choice. If not, please advise. Thanks Previous Question: Michelle Tressel 07/28/2007 -Data entry personnel will soon be asked to enter Resident Building into IMS. What is the resident building for students who are district court placed or foster care? Previous Answer: John Lee 08/20/2007 -In keeping with how we currently use the term "resident" and the tie to fund generation and the ultimate responsibility for the provision of services, this would be the building within the host district that the child would normally attend if there were no special education services provided. |
John Lee | 4/18/08 | Use of 0000 as the resident building in the case of District Court (9888) or Foster Care (9889) is appropriate |
