Hello again everyone,

We have made a very slight change to the Family Information area regarding language spoken in the home.  The basic complaint was that two languages could not be documented.

From the beginning we had thought that English was an automatic.  The fact that English was a choice and the default perhaps confused the situation.  It was intended that the second language would be selected from the drop list and if the second language wasn’t on the list, then OTHER should be selected and the name of the language typed into the text area.

If staff now want to document two languages, they may select ‘OTHER’ from the languages list and then type in the two languages spoken in the home.  On the output, those languages documented in the text area will print, assuming space allows, on the Family Information output.
